John Clark

Scarlett's cousin John Clark came over to love on her today! She had the greatest time with him - I guess I should start searching for a big brother! Too bad he went back to Oklahoma this afternoon - we sure will miss him!!!!!

I'm outta here!

I guess Scarlett had enough of her boring mother this morning. She brought me a hat and her backpack and threw a little fit until I put them on her. Once she was "dressed", she grabbed her cheerios and stood by the backdoor. I don't know exactly where she thought I was going to take her, but she eventually gave up. She didn't take her outfit off for quite sometime!

Takin' a break

I was doing my morning exercise and, of course, Scarlett felt she needed to be right there in the middle of it (you must know, she ignores me the rest of the time!). I did some lunges with an extra 25+ pounds in my arms, and it was NOT in the form of hand weights! I guess, as the picture shows, this wore her out. She scooted this booster seat over to her music mirror and pushed the buttons with her feet. She was really relaxin'!

Growing up

Well, I thought it would never happen. Over the past few months Scarlett has attempted to feed herself, but gets bored with it pretty quickly. She does great with fork - but I guess I have been the hold back on the spoon - ya know, I really don't look forward to cleaning food off of my walls! Well, since we were at Mam's house last weekend, I let her go for it (holding the yogurt while eating might have been a gamble with the floor, but Ainsley was doing it, so we had no choice!). She did really well - guess I have to let my baby girl grow up!

The Hat

I came home from work tonight and Scarlett was pretty happy for a teething toddler! She had on this cow hat from Chick-Fil-A that Aunt Becca brought to her --- back in JULY!!! We have not been able to throw it away yet! Anyway, she had a great time in her daddy's lap WITH THE HAT ON! She is a pretty funny little gal (and she knows it!). I just had to put up a picture of her and all of her cuteness!!

Scarlett's first date (don't tell daddy!)

Scarlett had her first date today with Miles. He came over to play and they had a great time! Of course, she wanted to do everything he was doing. I was suprised that no fights broke out, no one tried to bite the other (I guess my whole "we don't eat our friends" lecture worked!), and aside from the not-so-gentle patting there was NO hitting! From the looks of things he wasn't eating his cheerios fast enough because she was trying to shovel them in for him!

Cooler days ahead!

We finally were able to get outside and play the other day for more than 5 minutes! Scarlett had the best time in the back of her daddy's truck - she absolutely would NOT get out! SO - as always - I got out the camera and took lots of pictures. I really need to get some of these pics printed - I would really hate to hand her a box of picture CDs one day and say "well, here are all of your memories sweetie!". Anyway - we had a great time playing outside and I really hope it stays in the 90's (or lower??? wishful thinking?) for an extended period of time!
